Our basic labour rate is £39 per hour inclusive of VAT and we are happy to provide you with an estimate depending on your specific requirements. (Please bear in mind that whilst we try to be as accurate as we can with estimating repair times and costs, at times cars present issues which are not always straightforward!) We do however promise to always discuss things with you should we discover further time/works are required over and above our initial estimate.


Detailing Services

At JSG Automotive we believe a clear, structured price list is essential for both ourselves and our valued customers, this helps with both choice and understanding. At the same time we understand that customers requirements can also be unique, therefore whilst we have the price list below as a guide, please feel free to contact us with your individual requirements or any questions you may have, you can always be assured that we will offer good value and a quality service at all times.

• Exterior pressure washed to remove loose dirt
• Wheels cleaned using safe, non acid wheel cleaner
• Door shuts, boot shut, fuel cap, shutlines, crevices, badges and engine bay cleaned with safe PH neutral water based degreaser
• Exterior bodywork and wheels pre-cleaned using quality foaming shampoo – then rinsed
• Exterior hand washed, rinsed and dried using quality microfiber products

At the core of any proper detail is the main wash routine, without proper execution of this task the vehicles paint surface is left vulnerable to damage by subsequent detailing. We complete this task using high quality products and tools, and it is the perfect base from which to continue detailing. It is also ideal for customers wanting the main washing procedure to be safely completed with the right tools and products, leaving them free to complete subsequent treatments. We require your vehicle for 1-1.5hrs to complete this procedure.

In addition to the in depth wash routine your vehicles paintwork is cleaned and polished to restore any lost shine and lustre, all trim is dressed and the interior is vacuumed and dressed also. We require your vehicle for approx 2-2.5 hours.

The Protection detail adds two vital stages to enhance and protect your paint. First the claying process removes any bonded contamination resulting in a very clean smooth surface which is then polished to restore shine. The paintwork is then treated with a very high quality carnauba wax to add protection and fantastic gloss. We require your vehicle for approx 5 hours.

• Exterior paintwork single stage machine polished to remove defects and restore shine
• Exterior fully wiped down to remove polishing residue
• Exterior paintwork glazed to enhance finish (optional - £25)
• Exterior paintwork protected with high quality durable carnauba based waxes
• Alloy wheels hand/machine polished using light hand glaze (where fitted)
• Alloy wheels protected with synthetic polymer wax
• Exterior tyres / trim dressed
• Interior vacuumed or washed depending on soiling and all rubbish removed
• Interior trim dressed
• Interior glass cleaned
• Engine bay plastics dressed

The Enhance & Protect detail adds in the use of a machine polisher to add power to the polishing process that would take much, much longer to achieve by hand, this process cuts through the top layer of paint to restore depth of shine, whilst removing light swirls and haze, as well as hologram’s and other defects. We can then optionally glaze the vehicle to add depth of shine and help mask severe defects. While this process may not remove deep scratches, in many cases a stunning finish can be achieved and can be all that is needed on some lighter colour paints, depending on how far the customer wants to go. We require your vehicle for approx 8 to 10 hours / 1 full day.

• Exterior machine polished to remove defects
• Exterior fully wiped down to remove polishing residue

• Alloy wheels protected with synthetic polymer wax
• Exterior tyres / trim dressed
• Interior vacuumed or washed depending on soiling and all rubbish removed
• Interior trim dressed

The correct and protect detail aims for full paintwork correction, that is removing as many of the visible surface defects as possible, allowing the paint surface to look its best. To complete this detail we require the vehicle to be available for around 2 full days, possibly longer depending on specific vehicles and requirements. The detail is priced on a per hour basis, as generally a larger vehicle will take longer to complete due to increased surface area, therefore owners of smaller vehicles will not pay an excess. Time taken is usually around 1.5-2 days, and we estimate that a full correction detail will cost between £250-350 for a smaller vehicle, and around £300-400 for a larger vehicle. We can give a more accurate price and time scale when details of your vehicle are known.

Based entirely on your requirements we can tailor a detail to your needs upon discussion and inspection of the vehicle. It may be that you only want the exterior preparing, or the engine bay perhaps, whatever you require we will be happy to quote accordingly based on an hourly rate of approx £20 per hour spent.

The refreshment detail is aimed at owners who have previously asked us to prepare their vehicle for them and require a subsequent coat of fresh wax to keep things looking their best. We require your vehicle for approx 4 hours.

• Paintwork machine polished using pre wax cleaners and light polishes to remove any light factory induced defects if present
• Exterior paintwork protected with high quality durable carnauba based waxes

• Interior vacuumed & rubbish removed
• Interior Trim dressed
• Engine bay plastics dressed

The New car detail is aimed at owners who have just taken delivery of a cherished new vehicle and wish to have the best protection from day one. The standard factory finish will be inspected and light defects removed, the vehicle will then be protected with high quality waxes to maximise the potential of the new paint and keep it looking superb. We will require your vehicle for approx 8 hours / 1 day.

• Paintwork inspected and clayed if required
• Depth readings taken and paintwork machine polished to remove defects
• Exterior fully wiped down and re inspected
• Exterior paintwork protected with high quality durable carnauba based waxes
• Alloy wheels protected with synthetic polymer wax
• Exterior tyres / trim dressed
• Interior vacuumed & rubbish removed
• Interior Trim dressed
• Engine bay plastics dressed

The New car detail is aimed at owners who have just taken delivery of a cherished new vehicle and wish to have the best protection from day one. The standard factory finish will be inspected and any defects removed, the vehicle will then be protected with high quality waxes to maximise the potential of the new paint and keep it looking superb. We will require your vehicle for a minimum of 1 full day, normally 2.

We are also happy to work with owners clubs, car collectors and the trade to establish discounted rates dependant on your numbers / requirements.
